How is Breast Lift Done?

Sagging breasts, which have often lost their vitality, are a condition that makes women feel old.

Pregnancy and aging can cause the breasts to lose their attractive, youthful appearance, and many women find it difficult to accept these changes in their breasts, especially the loss of shape and fullness.

Breast lift surgery is operations that tighten and support breast tissue for firmer and younger breasts.

Breast lift operations We asked our questions about breast lift operations to Emre Gonenc Baygol MD:

“As you said, breast lift operations are a plastic surgery operation that we apply to breasts that have lost their form and vitality and also sagging.

Sometimes there is no loss of firmness in the breast, but there may be a significant sagging condition. In fact, we can rate the breast position in order to understand the problem of sagging in the breast.

These can also be an answer to the question of how to understand that the breast is saggy. For example:

First degree – This is normal breast tissue, no sagging. The lower breast tissue sits above the breast crease and the nipple faces outward.

Second degree - Mild skin laxity and sagging are present. The lower breast tissue sits in the breast fold and the nipple faces outward.

Third degree - Moderate skin laxity and sagging. The lower breast tissue sits under the breast crease and the nipple has begun to droop.

Fourth degree - Severe skin laxity and sagging. The lower breast tissue sits significantly below the breast crease and the nipple is pointing down.

Can Exercise Lift The Breast?

exercise lift the breastAll these are the criteria that help us for breast lift operation. Also, by the way, we would like to say that breast lift exercises are useless.

Of course, doing sports is important for health, but it cannot recover sagging breast tissue. Also, a non-surgical breast lift is not yet possible with today's technology and medical techniques.

We recommend that you take this statement into consideration when using or considering purchasing products such as breast lift cream.

The type of incision we will use in breast lift surgery depends on your breast size and shape, the degree of breast sagging, and the size and location of your areola, the nipple.

In breast lift surgery, we remove excess breast tissue and skin, and pull the tissues together to gather the breasts.

If necessary, we can also reposition the nipple, namely the areolar complex, thus achieving a natural and youthful position.

Again, if necessary, sutures can be placed deep into the tissue in order to strengthen the breast lift operation of our patient and to help keep the breasts in their new places.

There are different breast lift techniques. We always try to use breast lift incision techniques that leave very little scars and to respect our patient's skin.

Also, the location and size of the incision plays an important role in determining how natural your breast lift results will look.

For Patients with Very Heavy Breast Tissue…

breast liftIf the patient's breast structure and degree of sagging are suitable, we can use the incision technique called circumareolar mastopexy.

In this incision technique, we reach the breast tissue by making an incision around the colored edge of the areola.

In this breast lift incision technique, the skin around the areola does not curl, the roundness of the areola is preserved, the shape of the breast hump can be controlled, and the nipple can move the areolar complex up to a certain extent.

Inverted T Mastopexy is another breast lift incision technique and in fact, it is among the most applied.

We especially prefer it for women with very heavy breast tissue and 4th degree ptosis, that is, sagging.

This technique is extremely effective for women who have lost a lot of weight, have breast problems after pregnancy, breastfeeding, and have poor skin elasticity.

An incision is made around the areola, in the lower breast tissue, and along the natural curve of the inframammary fold.

Breast Lift and Implant Size

breast implantAlso, it's good to say this. Patients with weak, sagging breasts and who want an increase in breast volume may consider breast augmentation surgery and breast lift surgery together.

When we perform breast augmentation with breast lift surgery, we can achieve both attractive and fullness breasts with a one-time operation.

For this, we often apply breast implants and as a matter of fact, combining implants with breast lift requires expertise. Great care is essential to balance tissue removal with implant size.

The current size of your breasts and the implant size you want will affect the amount of tissue removed during the lift.

Only in this way is it possible to create a new breast appearance that looks and feels natural with attention to detail.

There may be some bruising, swelling and redness after breast lift. To prevent all these and to continue the recovery process after breast lift.

The use of a garment is necessary to make the body more comfortable. For three to four weeks following the operation, strenuous physical activities should be avoided.

Breast lift is designed to correct the appearance of the breasts for a long time. However, breast tissue is still subject to the natural aging process and additional sagging may develop over time.
