Beauty Is Always Precious

Beauty Is Always Precious

"Your beauty is worth nothing if it weren't for the love in me," said Asik Veysel...

What a beautiful word, but we will consider beauty in terms of professional development and career, not from the framework of love.

Today, it has been proven that people who make a young, attractive and lively impression have higher professional success.

For this reason, many managers attach more importance to their appearance than in previous years and visit us, plastic surgeons, more often.

Today, where many things are possible, beauty is no longer an element of destiny, but a design project where one can invest time and money.

Looking young and having an athletic body also reflects mental strength, ambition, discipline, and personal style.

We Have Always Wanted to be Beautiful Throughout History

historyThe desire to be beautiful is not something newly invented nowadays. As far as is known, humans have had this feeling since its existence.

Remains of jewelry, make-up, and body paints have been found in thousands of years old Egyptian mummies. Cream boxes had appeared in the ruins of advanced civilizations.

Taking care of one's appearance was a part of life, like eating, drinking, breathing, and sleeping in ancient times as well as today.

What Research Says

historyIn a 2011 study conducted at the University of Texas at the Department of Economics, it was proven that among employees with the same education and knowledge, those with better looks earned up to 5% more wages, and this, when hit over their entire life, earned $230,000.

According to the results of the research conducted by the German magazine Die Welt, 7 million young people graduate from universities in China annually and start their professional life. Out of the thousands of job applicants who are on the same level in many respects, most are chosen based on appearance.

For this reason, there has been an explosion in plastic surgeries in China in recent years. Competition is before us with all its difficulties and brutal capitalism continues to dominate with all its majesty. Therefore, managers and candidates who want to be successful in this struggle are now after being more beautiful.

A survey study conducted in Germany in 2008 also shows that; 90% of German men say that being attractive is very important in achieving professional success.

Again, in an economic study conducted in the USA in 2000, 2000 people were shown the passport photos of 100 CEOs, and questions were asked about it. In response, it turned out that people who were predicted to be resourceful and good-looking earned an average of 7.5% more than others.

Men Also Want To Be Beautiful

Mens beautifulAll this research shows that beauty and attractiveness are not only the sum of the things a person does to feel good but also proof that this is the way to be successful in business life.

These are the reasons why especially men have tended to plastic surgeries in recent years, the desire of senior middle-aged managers to look younger, and their high awareness of sports and healthy nutrition.

Most Face-to-face Intervention for Professional Success

medical To give an example of the interventions made in this direction, we can say that face and rhinoplasty constitute the highest percentage in total.

Middle-aged and older managers focus on the face where the deformations brought by years can be observed. With the advancement of age and the increase in deformations, more permanent procedures are applied.

For example, eyelid surgeries, mid-facelift, face, and neck lifts... For people who stay away from surgical interventions, procedures such as filling and botox are also performed.

Young employees, who are at the beginning of their business life or who are just starting to mature, prefer fillers, botox, or procedures that are suitable for rejuvenating and protecting the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

It is possible to say that there is an increase in the proportion of women who have had nose and breast surgeries done due to professional necessity.

Being Beautiful Is No Longer a Luxury, It's a Necessity

being beautifulAs a result, external and internal beauty are perceived to be interconnected in a competitive environment, in market conditions that are getting harder and harder in terms of economy.

Be as successful as you want, if you do not pay attention to your appearance, if you are not well-groomed and attractive, you start your business life behind 0-1.

In today's world, people perceived as beautiful or attractive are assumed to be better equipped. This is of course a subject of debate. However, the realities of business life are also clear.

Researches also reveal that people's creating a positive perception of their external appearance has become a necessity rather than a luxury for their professional life.

The details of the subject, We asked Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist Burak Turkyılmaz MD

What is the rate of patients who come to you to advance in their career and to get the job they target?
working

Patients who express this directly in this way are quite rare, but the conversation can reveal the real reasons.

For example, I changed jobs, I want to look more attractive before starting my new job, or I graduated from university, and the number of my patients who say “I want to make a change here and there” before starting my job applications is not to be underestimated.

Based on his profile, the number of patients I can associate with his career is like 15 out of 100.

In which occupational groups do you come across the most? (Stewardess, presenter, athlete, model, etc.?)
hostes

In fact, in my practices, the first place is taken by women in managerial positions, not the professions you have mentioned above. Even this is an important indicator of the change in the business world.

The rate of aesthetic interventions in terms of careers is quite high in visual professions and in occupational groups that are in direct contact with their customers, such as the service sector.

Hostesses, screen workers (screen faces), models, athletes, sales and marketing people... We have patient applications from these occupational groups as well as managers.

Female male ratio?
Female and Male
As in Turkey, my patient profile is 90% female versus 10% male patient.

According to the research conducted by the German Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association in 2012, the rate of men applying for aesthetic surgery in Germany is 16.8%.

What is the most frequently done, male/female categorization?

If we examine it as a surgical aesthetic procedure, rhinoplasty (nose job) operations are performed the most in both men and women in Turkey.

Afterward, breast (augmentation, reduction, or lift ) operations in women and face (facelift, midface lift) operations in men are performed. If we include minimally invasive procedures, I can say that botox is by far the most common procedure for both men and women.

As your career continues to rise, do you come back again? What is the rate of this? (For example, does someone who comes to get filler & botox for promotion come to have plastic surgery for a bigger assignment?)
medical beautiful

Aesthetics, when done with the right time, technique, and doctor, is a magic wand that will connect you to life and contribute to your development in your business and career. Both men and women are aware of this.

Turkey is one of the best countries in the world for aesthetic interventions. As such, accessible applications are increasing and more people are getting more beautiful.

First, it comes with minor, non-scalpel interventions. After the positive reactions, it can go as far as these surgeries.

Those who are in the business world, especially those who "manage people", desire to continue "looking young" to maintain authority, dynamism, and even manager-employee loyalty.

So yes, almost half of my patients also come to us for surgery after invasive procedures.
