Dr. Lara Devgan, MD, MPH, FACS

Dr. Lara Devgan is a top board-certified New York City plastic surgeon and the founder and CEO of luxury medical-grade skincare line Dr. Devgan Scientific Beauty.

She is an international lecturer, a renowned industry consultant, a classically trained artist, and an expert in plastic surgery and injectables for the face, breasts, and body.

She is the former Chief Medical Office of RealSelf. She lives with her husband and 6 young children on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Dr. Lara Devgan is a board-certified, Yale-educated, Johns Hopkins Medical School-instructed, and Columbia/ New York Presbyterian Hospital-trained plastic & reconstructive surgeon.

Her special interests are cosmetic surgery of the face and body, and reconstructive surgery for breast cancer, skin cancer, and facial injuries.

1- What is a Typical Day Like When You Work In Your Clinic?

Thank you Emel. I do a combination of surgical and nonsurgical procedures for the face, breast, and body, so my days are a hybrid of these roles. 

I enjoy being able to offer my patients a vertically integrated approach to plastic and reconstructive surgery to better meet their unique needs and goals.

2- What Are The Current Trends in Plastic Surgery and What is the Most Requested Cosmetic Procedure?

The major trend is toward naturalness-- a more subtle, restrained, and understated look. 

In my practice, the most requested procedures are facelifts, necklifts, blepharoplasties, and nonsurgical facial optimizations with injectables and suture suspensions.

3- You were Introduced CMO at Realself. As the Chief Medical Officer, What Was The Scope of Your Job, What Were You Doing? Also Newlyme is a Marketplace Where Potential Patients with Cosmetic Concerns Meet with Doctors, How is Your Perspective On Such Platforms and Do You Have Any Suggestions for Newlyme?
