Plastic Surgeons Continue To Work Despite the Economic Crisis in Lebanon

Rhinoplasty is one of the most common operations adored by Lebanese women, especially young girls.

Before going to their graduation parties, young girls request rhinoplasty as a graduation gift from their families.

Moreover, many problems such as the economic crisis and terrorist incidents in the country could not even cause this demand to decline.

Even the country's plastic surgeons say that the demands are increasing day by day.

The Patient Pool Remained The Same

WHOThe World Health Organization believes that the economic collapse in Lebanon has caused about 40% of the doctors in the country to leave the country.

But the rest say the demand, especially for nose surgery, is reason enough not to leave.

On the other hand, patients coming from abroad also cause the cosmetic surgery to be revived even more. 70% of plastic surgery patients in the country are foreigners.

Because It's Cheap

rhinoplastyRhinoplasty in Beirut is cheaper than in the West. The average rhinoplasty is less than half the current rate in America. Foreigners can have rhinoplasty for $2,500.

People are Very Fond of Beauty

Lebonan womanLebanon's beauty aficionados have walked to aesthetic clinics in 2019, despite protesters blocking roads in hopes of getting rid of the Lebanese government.

Plastic surgeons stockpiled Botox and fillers while the country lamented a shortage of essential drugs. With the electricity supply regularly cut off, plastic surgeons provided their own generators.

Due to the explosion in the port of Beirut in 2020, many foreign patients were afraid to come to the country for about 6 months. At that time, it was the local people who kept the plastic surgeons alive.

As long as Lebanese women love aesthetics, cosmetic treatments in Beirut are likely to stay afloat.
