What is Hand Rejuvenation?

Hand rejuvenation; For those who have entered the aging process due to time, living conditions, external factors, the hand back subcutaneous tissue has weakened, the hand veins have become prominent, the hand skin has become elastic, has stains and wrinkles problems, the hand skin is thin and the hands are free from problems. It is an aesthetic application made to restore.

Hand rejuvenation; It covers a series of treatment processes based on the principle of replacing lost subcutaneous adipose tissues with various treatment methods, increasing skin quality, regulating the size of the vessels affecting the appearance in hand aesthetics, and removing spots on the skin surface.

Everything You Need To Know About Hand Rejuvenation

Hand rejuvenation prices vary depending on the treatment plan to be applied individually, the application stages of the planned treatment, the location of the chosen clinic and the choice of doctor.

 Hand rejuvenation prices are realized in the average price range of 800 TL to 4,000 TL. Depending on the size of the deformation in the hand structure, the price will not move below the base but there may be an increase in the upper value.
Hand rejuvenation is a suitable treatment for all men and women who have signs of aging on their hands. To summarize these signs of aging in general;

  •  People with weakening of the subcutaneous tissue on the back of the hand,
  •  People with freckles, red spots and spotting problems on the hand skin surface,
  •  Persons with impaired hand quality and wear on their hands,
  •  People whose hand veins have become evident over time,
  •  Those who have looseness, wrinkles and hardness in the hand skin
  •  People with thin and deformed hand skin,

 They are suitable candidates for hand rejuvenation.
In hand rejuvenation, it is aimed to eliminate the signs of aging on hands by improving the general appearance of the hands that are in the aging process. Hand rejuvenation application stages also occur depending on these 3 basic elements. All stages are performed with local anesthetic creams or local anesthesia.

 The application time is between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the planned steps. Each process step is planned to be applied at different times.

1- Sclerotherapy (Non-Surgical Varicose Veins Treatment Method) and Laser Application:

One of the main factors that cause the hand to look old in hand aesthetics are the "veins on the hand" that become apparent over time. Both sclerotherapy and laser methods are applied to eliminate these thick blue veins.

With the help of anesthetic creams, the hand surface is locally anesthetized. Thick blue veins are thinned by injecting sclerosing medication with the help of thin cannulas, often completely disappearing. This process is called Sclerotherapy. It is a painless procedure. If there are very thin blue and / or red capillaries on the hand surface, laser application is performed this time.

With the help of laser beams, capillaries are destroyed. Summer is not suitable for laser treatment. Therefore, other seasons are planned for laser therapy. If the procedure is to be performed with sclerotherapy application, four-season treatment can be planned without any seasonal limitation.

2- Fat Transfer or Hyaluronic Acid Filling Material Application

It is planned for those who have weakening of the back of the skin, wrinkles and hardness in the skin of the hand, and who have lost their thin-form hand skin. It can be applied in all seasons. It is performed under local anesthesia by using fat transfer or filling material.

 If the application will be made with fat transfer;
 The purpose of hand rejuvenation with fat transfer is to provide an aesthetic appearance with the healing properties of fat tissue enriched with stem cells. With fat transfer, the hard and bony structure of the hands is softened in hand rejuvenation, while the person gets rid of the dense appearance of the vessels on the back of the hand, a brighter and color-balanced appearance is obtained on the skin surface.

 Hand rejuvenation with fat transfer is performed under local anesthesia. It is the application in which the fat cells taken from the region where the person has regional fattening are enriched with stem cells and transferred to the hand surface with the help of thin cannulas.

 While the fat cells enriched with stem cells provide volume to the hand dorsum in the area where they are transferred, it also performs the treatment that will solve the problems of the region in terms of its content. The textures on the hand surface are renewed.

 Hand ejuvenation with fat transfer is a much more permanent application compared to ready-made filling materials. After the application, which is performed between 30 minutes and 1 hour on average, the person can return to his normal life.

Hand Rejuvenation with Hyaluronic Acid Filling Material
 The most significant difference between the hand rejuvenation application made with hyaluronic acid filling material and the fat transfer and filling application is the duration of the post-transfer filling material in the body. Fat transfer is a long-term practice with a gain of 60% after a loss of up to 40%. However, "Hyaluronic Acid Filling Material" loses its existence between 9-18 months on average. In this case, the hand surface must be re-injected with filling material.

3- Q-switched Laser or Peel Application
 Another application step needed in Hand Rejuvenation is to eliminate brown spots on the surface of the hand due to the aging and the harmful effects of sunlight. The steps of Hand Rejuvenation are completed by eliminating brown spots with Q-switched laser application where in-spot pigments are targeted or with various peel applications. Summer months are not suitable for this process step. Therefore, other seasons are preferred in the laser and peel treatment step.

Hand Rejuvenation with PRP
 Unlike these 3 application steps, PRP application has been preferred recently in hand rejuvenation. It is aimed to achieve hand aesthetics with the treatment performed by centrifuging 8-10 cc of blood taken from the person in special tubes and injecting the blood extract rich in platelets back to the surface of the hand with fine-tipped cannulae.

 Hand rejuvenation with PRP is a treatment with an average of 2-3 sessions planned at 2-3 week intervals. While hand rejuvenation with PRP nourish the subcutaneous tissue, it also helps to lighten the aging marks on the skin surface and make the skin look brighter and more tense. Sessions are completed in an average of 20 to 40 minutes.
Hand rejuvenation is one of the aesthetic applications with the least complications. After hand rejuvenation, temporary swelling and bruising can be observed at the injection points. Some people also stated that they experienced short-term pain after hand aesthetics. Scabbing can also be observed in the stained areas from time to time in spot treatment with peel or laser treatment. All these complications are mild and short-term enough not to affect hand functions. Generally, they disappear spontaneously in the first week. There are some small details that need to be considered and followed depending on the form of post-hand rejuvenation applications.
 A bandage should be used for 2 days after the treatment step in which the image of the veins on the hand is corrected with sclerotherapy application. The bandage is only wrapped around the back of the hand, with the fingers exposed.

 After the spot treatment, it is necessary to use the creams recommended by your doctor regularly and to provide protection with sunscreen for your hands after the procedure.
