Risks & Recovery After Vaginal Rejuvenation

The common risks of vaginal rejuvenation treatments include bleeding, hematoma and infection. The most prevalent complication is over-resection which can lead to chronic dryness and pain with intercourse. In rare cases, long-term complications may occur after vaginal rejuvenation such as; long-term or permanent loss of sensation, serious infection or tissue necrosis or dissatisfaction with the results of the surgery.

Recovery After Vaginal Rejuvenation takes around 4 to 6 weeks. As Vaginal rejuvenation surgery consists of a combination of several procedures, each recovery process is different based on the treatments.

Immediately after surgery; to control both pain and swelling, your surgeon will ask you to keep flexible ice packs on the surgery area and rotate them every hour or so for adequate cooling.

Minimal activity is acceptable for the first 48 hours but mostly you will need to rest. It is recommended to wear loose fitting clothing to reduce friction in the affected area.

Side effects such as swelling, sore and feeling discomfortable is the normal process of recovery and will mostly go by the end of the first week. It is important to keep up with your doctor's instructions about wearing any provided compression garments and monitoring any drains inserted under the skin.

You should be back to your usual routine starting from week 2. Avoid all heavy lifting and other strenuous activities during the first month of recovery, especially if your rejuvenation includes any surgical alterations to the inside of the vagina.
The results of a vaginal rejuvenation surgery are intended to be permanent, but pregnancy or significant weight gain will alter the results. Although the aging process will continue and muscles and tissue will lose strength and tightness, you can expect results to be long-lasting.

Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments are performed in sessions and to keep the results permanent it's advised to get an annual touch-up treatment.

What Is The Procedure For Surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation?

Vaginoplasty surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia and it will last from one- to two-hour. Recovery from a vaginoplasty is one to two weeks, without tampons or intercourse for eight weeks.

In this procedure your surgeon will have muscles and fascial tissues can be brought back together in a tighter fashion to provide tighter and more petite vaginal opening.  It takes 6-8 weeks for full recovery and normal sexual function.

Labiaplasty is planned to improve both the aesthetics and function of the vaginal lips. The surgery takes less than 2 hours and is done under local anesthesia. Recovery time is typically a week, patients must avoid using tampons or intercourse for eight weeks.
The advantages of Vaginal Rejuvenation in Turkey are numerous. First of all, the costs. Most countries with advanced medicine are attractive to foreign patients, but the prices they charge are often too high. Turkey is an exception in this regard. In Turkey cost of Vaginal Rejuvenation surgery is much lower than in the United States or Western Europe, but the quality of the treatment provided remains at the same high level.

Most of the hospitals in Turkey have JCI accreditation which means that the hospital uses both effective and safe treatment methods for the patient.

In Turkey Vaginal Rejuvenation treatments are performed fully well-organized and under comfortable conditions both before and aftercare processes.

With cultural and historical places Turkey offers precious time to relax, visit local tourist sites and see the sights.
İstanbul comes first when it’s about the medical and health tourism in Turkey, especially for those coming from Europe, Asia and the Middle East. There are lots of advantages provided to those who want to get "Vaginal Rejuvenation" surgery in İstanbul. İstanbul is one of the mega cities of Turkey with international standards clinics and hospitals. Besides there are plenty of top-notch plastic surgeons to get "Vaginal Rejuvenation".

If you are coming from abroad then the surgeon you choose will give you a full package price that includes all the surgical costs, hotel stayings and  transfers (does not include your flight). All inclusive packs are still much more affordable than by having your surgery in the USA or Europe.

Travelling to İstanbul is relatively easy with many airlines flying direct from all over Europe.
