What is Dermapen Application?
In dermapen application, the device causes slight damage to the layers of the skin with micro-needling method and thus initiates the natural renewal process of the skin by producing collagen and elastin. In addition, as the conductivity of the skin increases thanks to the micro damage it creates in the skin tissue, the absorption of the products applied after the procedure is better provided.

Everything You Need To Know About Dermapen

For Dermapen application, a fee is paid per session. Dermapen needles vary in length between 0.5mm and 2.5mm. Since Dermapen is the most common brand used in micro-needling application, the treatment is called with this name. There are many different brand devices used in micro needling application.
With the Dermapen device, micro needling can be applied to all parts of the body, but it is often used for the face area. The order of operation is as follows:
  • The skin is purified from make-up residue and cleansed with an antiseptic lotion.
  • After the anesthetic gel is applied to the area, the duration of action is expected.
  • Anesthetic gel is cleared from the skin.
  • The patient-specific disposable needle cap is attached to the device.
  • The application is completed by changing the needle lengths according to the thickness of the skin on the face.

  • Make-up products should not be applied to the skin within the first 24 hours, and products with components that can change the skin structure should not be used.
  • Moisturizing creams recommended by the doctor should be used and contact with the sun should be avoided after the procedure.
  • After the first day, sunscreen with high protection factor should be applied to the treated skin.
  • After the 3rd day, redness and edema on the skin will decrease and healing will begin.
  • Skin contact with water is not recommended for three days following the procedure.
  • Sweating should be avoided.
  • Skin improvement can be observed from the first session, but the full effect of the procedure occurs after the 6th week.
A session in Dermapen treatment takes an average of 60 minutes with the entire preparation and application process. Session intervals are usually 4-6 weeks. The number of sessions is determined according to the purpose of application and the treatment is completed between 2-10 sessions.
After Dermapen application, support can be obtained from serums with different contents to increase the effect of the procedure:
  • Hyaluronic acid serum - intensive moisturizing, shine and fullness
  • Phyto serum - intensive moisturizer with the ability to penetrate the skin's lower layer
  • Wound serum - restorative serum with antioxidant properties, designed as a vitamin complex

Apart from the above serums, many different serum types (eye contour serum, salmon DNA serum, BB cream-containing serums, etc.) can be found on the market. The doctor applying the treatment will determine the most suitable option for the skin type. In addition to all these, Dermapen treatment can be combined with applications such as PRP or mesotherapy.
Dermapen application is very reliable if it is performed by experienced doctors or specialists with application certificates under the control of a doctor. • Temporary burning sensation
  • Temporary sensitivity
